Celebrities Read Mean Tweets - Jimmy Kimmel

I absolutely love whenever Jimmy Kimmel makes segments that include his viewers or just people on the street. My favorite so far has been the Celebrities Read Mean Tweets segment. It never fails to give me a good laugh, and honestly kinda makes you like those celebrities more just based on their response to the tweets. I am posting a few of my favorites, but be sure to catch up on all the videos they are hilarious.

Some are funny because of their reactions, some are funny because of the tweets. Here is 1-7, I named some of my favorite reactions.

Once I get some practice I will post some of my fished quilts and maybe my favorite tutorials.

Playing For Change | Songs Around The World

A movement that brings unity all around the world through music.
More at Playing For Change

How it all began. What it's all about explained
by the founder Mark Johnson.
"Playing for Change is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music. The idea for this project came from a common belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people.
The true measure of any movement is what it gives back to the people. We created the Playing For Change Foundation, 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to building music and art schools for children around the world, and creating hope and inspiration for the future of our planet". - Playing For Change

Celebrity artists are joining the movement. Here is the most recent celebrity collaboration.
WHAT'S GOING ON feat. Sara Bareilles

Sara tells ELLE.com“The way they record is fascinating,” she says. “Each person is recorded separately, and in all different places. You listen to the music in headphones and sing or play your part on top of whomever came before you. It makes you really listen to what is already there and want to add to the body of the song in a generous way. What is there is already so good, you just want to hopefully help the heart of it grow.”

Swimwear Ad Recreates Sports Illustrated Photo with Plus Size Women

I am not plus sized but even I often have difficulty finding swimsuits for my not model shaped body and size, specifically for my upper region. I usually wind up finding a swimsuit that fits but that I don't consider stylish, or I find a cute style with not so much support. SOMETHINGS GOTTA GIVE (hopefully it's not my top)! I can't imagine what swimsuit hunting is like for woman who are far gifted than I. Fortunately, those days of torturous hunting are over. Finding a suit that supports and looks cute is a thing of the past for plus-size women. Swimsuits for all provides the brawn and beauty required for larger curvier women.

In the company's current ad the plus-size models and blogger recreate the 2014 50th Anniversary Sports Illustrated cover. Their ad features the models in Swimsuits For All's new sexy swimwear calling the ad "sexy at every curve". That it is!! Along with being inspiring and providing all women with confidence on the beach and at the pool.

Wedding & Wine Weekend

Saturday I went to my cousin Nicole's Wedding at a beautiful house in the hills. She had this cute lounge area with a great view.

The infinity pool and the sunset.

My sister (@whimseyandwise) and I.

My mom, the bride and I.

Sunday we went wine tasting in Temecula CA. One of my favorites, South Coast Winery
Wine of choice here: Spumante Diamante sparkling wine.
(FYI: I'm a sweet wine drinker)

I had to take a picture of this huge flag they had hanging in the middle of the restaurant. Another reason to love them.

Then to another favorite Wilson Creek Winery.
Wine of choice: Almond Champagne, Muscat Canelli and Peach Bellini
Happy Tasting!

Mother of a Fallen Soldier Turns Uniforms Into Memorable Bears

I came across yet another sweet idea that can really help military families heal. Lisa Freeman, 61, mother of fallen soldier Matthew Freeman, began creating these bears to help provide comfort to family members.Freeman does this free of charge to anyone who has lost a loved one while in service.

Due to a high demand of these memorable bears, MATTHEW BEARS asks for your patience in waiting for a response to your request. It may take a few months. On this update Freeman also gladly informs us that she uses the small bear Simplicity Pattern #5461  in case anyone would like to find a seamstress from your church or community to request the creation of a bear.

Lisa Freeman also created a "Matthew Freeman Project" which supports education all across the world. It was started by request of her son when he saw the desire to learn from the children of Afghanistan. You can click here to DONATE  and be liked to the site.

Lisa Freeman is a woman who had a terrible situation, and found a way to make it a positive one. Her hope is only to try and bring comfort to others and in that way keep the memory of her son alive. I made sure to write about her to show that there are still great people in this world doing selfless things. To inspire people to use their gifts/talents to "pay it forward" in whatever way one can. I think I may just buy the pattern and try to create a bear out of my husbands uniform. If my result is at least satisfactory (I am a rookie seamstress), I may try to make some for some of the army families I know.
